STUDENT LIFE
Life of a Lion
At St. Giles School, student learning goes beyond the classroom to include a variety of extra-curricular experiences designed to enhance the building blocks of learning.
Enrichment Classes & Clubs
Each trimester brings a diverse collection of after-school programming. From building robots and learning the mandolin to acting and art, enrichment courses aim to introduce new skills, sharpen emerging ones and feed curiosity. Band and choirs begin in fourth grade and several clubs are offered to middle school students, such as Safety Patrol, Ambassadors Club and Yearbook.
Athletic Program
Engage, Compete, Succeed.
Competitive team sports are offered for fourth grade and up and include volleyball, soccer, basketball, cross country and track and field. St. Giles School competes in the Classic League against eight other schools in Chicago and the west suburbs. With a no-cut policy, we pride ourselves on giving any interested student the chance to experience the power of teamwork and shared goals.
We love that during after school enrichment programs, our kids could be doing anything from building a motor-operated gadget, to playing floor hockey, to rehearsing for the upcoming musical, to playing chess, to cooking with the produce grown in the school’s gardens.
