GIVING
The Sister Marie Imelda Wilson O.P. Giving Society
Sister Marie Imelda came to St. Giles in 1937 and taught generations of students for nearly 40 years. She authored a book on Catholic Kindergarten in Chicago and founded the National Catholic Kindergarten Association. Her contributions to our great school live on in her legacy through our Giving Society, established 2010.
In order for St. Giles School to continue its tradition of excellence and remain a vital, accessible Catholic school in our community, we rely on support from many:
- St. Giles Parish
- Current St. Giles School families
- The Archdiocese of Chicago
- St. Giles School Alumni and alumni parents
- Local businesses
- Extended family and friends
Giving levels of the Sr. Marie Imelda Wilson Giving Society (SMI), are based on the cumulative total of donations made to St. Giles School during the fiscal year, July 1 - June 30. These include tax deductible donations made to school fundraisers such as, Lion's Leap, Black & Gold, SMI and other occasional school fundraising campaigns. Donations made to the annual St. Giles PTO Faculty and Staff Appreciation Fund will count toward SMI. Other donations made to the PTO are excluded, as those funds go toward specific PTO initiatives.
Employer match donations will be added to your cumulative total and may increase you to the next benefit level - please ask if your employer has a matching program!
Giving Society Benefits
Annual cumulative gifts of at least $1,500, the benefits are:
- Mass intentions remembered at the November Mass of Remembrance
- Invitation to the annual Society Reception
Due to circumstances beyond our control, benefits may change during the year.
